Residents at Laurel Hurst Retirement Community participated in their first Decorate Your Door For Christmas contest. Every resident was able to do a little something and then some went above and beyond. There was a box in the lobby where anyone could vote on their favorite door. Voters could only submit one vote per person. The top vote getter was Grace Beach (above) with her wintery village scene and lovely choo choo train. Second place, by one vote, went to Doris Stanley (below) who wrapped her door like a present and accompanied it with a glittery green wreath and silver tree. Winners received a fruit basket with chocolate and nuts. (photo submitted by Jennifer Thompson)
