Fannie Belle “Ma” Lewis Ayers

Fannie Belle “Ma” Lewis Ayers, 85, of 332 S. Howard St., Landrum,  died December 29, 2012.  She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Fannie Belle Easler Lewis and widow of James Paul Ayers.

She was a member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church and co-owner of Ayers & Son Market.

She is survived by a son, Paul Ayers of Landrum; three daughters, Linda Ormand of Landrum, Teresa Underwood of Lyman and Carolyn Wood of Campobello; four brothers, Milon Lewis, Frances M. “Dit” Lewis and Mack Lewis, all of Campobello, and Howard “Rass” Lewis of Spartanburg; a sister, Betty Tyler of Campobello; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.

The family received friends Dec. 31 at Petty Funeral Home. Funeral services were held. Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Petty Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Jimmy Camp and Rev. David Eubanks.  Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
