Landrum resident Pam Kay Hutcherson, 58, died Tuesday, Dec. 18 following a two-car collision on North Randolph St. (Hwy. 14) in Landrum. Hutcherson and a second motorist John Steven Crawford of Rutherfordton were both airlifted to Spartanburg Regional, according to Landrum Police Chief Tim Edgens. Edgens said Hutcherson was traveling in a white Toyota sedan when she and Crawford, who was in a white Ford truck, collided around 2:20 p.m. Landrum police repopened the section of North Randolph St. in front of Fred’s to traffic around 4:30 p.m. Edgens said the department is currently completing accident reconstruction to determine how the accident happened. An autopsy on Hutcherson was also scheduled for Wednesday as the wreck remained under investigation.
