Have a Heart for Big Brothers Big Sisters

Published 8:58am Monday, December 17, 2012

Embellished hearts will be up for bid at the Upstairs Artspace from Jan. 18 through Feb. 9, just in time for Valentine’s Day gifts. A minimum price for each heart will be set and the pieces will be available for silent auction bidding during the opening reception on Jan. 19, and during regular gallery hours Jan. 18 through Feb. 9. The Upstairs is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Area artists who wish to participate in Have a Heart for Big Brothers Big Sisters are invited to contact BBBS at 828-859-9230 or polk@bbbswnc.org for more information. The public is encouraged to visit the Upstairs Artspace in early 2013 to view the unique photography exhibit, and to participate in the Hearts fundraiser to support Big Brothers Big Sisters. It’s exciting to consider the children whose lives will be enriched through the generosity of these talented artists, the Upstairs Artspace, and those who purchase these unique works of “heArt.”
