Darrell Bustle said the idea excited him.

“Ten years ago I wanted to have a local artist paint a mountain scene on the big old blank wall of my building,” Bustle said, but the costs were monumental.

When Robinson approached Bustle about advertising Ryan’s State Farm business on the wall, conversation returned to the mural idea.

Just over a week ago Landrum Mayor Robert Briggs unveiled and dedicated the 8×24 foot photo mural.

“Community is a small village settlement were people have common value and help each other,” Briggs commented of the cooperation it took from multiple people to complete the project.

Robinson also thanked all involved, especially his daughter for what he said would be a gift “enjoyed for years to come.”

Bustle said he too was, “Proud to look at it [mural] and work with these wonderful folks.”
