WCCR and WOTJ present Jack Benny Thanksgiving Show

Published 8:59am Friday, November 16, 2012

The Western Carolina’s Classic Radio Club (WCCR) will meet Monday, Nov. 19 at 2 p.m. in the auditorium on the Polk ICC campus.

The old time radio program will be a special Jack Benny Thanksgiving show with all the trimmings. The radio/TV presentation will feature Bob Hope and many special guests. Bob Hope was on the radio from 1935 to 1955. These two specials will prepare everyone for the coming holidays.

Professor Hoyt will keep everyone guessing with his great trivia.

Around 3:05 p.m. the Fall Jazz Series ends by highlighting an American jazz pianist and virtuoso who played despite being nearly blind from birth.

Art Tatum is widely acknowledged as one of the greatest jazz pianists of all time. Come and hear for yourself.

Everyone is welcome and there is no charge, just a lot of fun recalling “the good old days.”
