Banks honored by Juliette Gordon Low Leadership Society

Published 3:43pm Monday, November 12, 2012

On Nov. 1, Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont recognized local residents as members of its annual Juliette Gordon Low Leadership Society.

Held at the Gaston Country Club, 16 members of the leadership society were pinned including: Judy Banks of Tryon.

The women were presented with a special sterling silver pin stamped with a daisy that displayed a pearl in the center.

The society’s theme of the pearl comes from the sacrifice founder Juliette Gordon Low made when she sold her pearls to get funds for the newly formed Girl Scout organization in 1912.

To learn more about becoming a member of this leadership society, please contact Grace M. Lewis at 704-864-3245 or e-mail glewis@girlscoutsp2p.org.
