Seminar for parents of special needs children Oct. 30

An important seminar for parents with special needs and developmentally disabled children and those interested local mental health services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 6 p.m. at the Polk County Public Library – Columbus Community Room.
Western Highlands LME will present Jesse Smathers, DD clinical director, who will provide information and answer questions. The seminar will dispel myths, review acronyms and systems and clarify eligibility and access to services.
The event is sponsored by Polk County/Foothills Chapters of the Autism Society of North Carolina.
