Henson Building Materials opened in Landrum Oct. 22

Henson Building Materials of North Carolina, along with its parent company, Warner Robins Supply Company in Georgia, have announced the opening of their newest location in Landrum, South Carolina at the former Tryon Lumber location on Hwy. 176 between Tryon and Landrum.  The newly-remodeled location opened for business Monday, Oct. 22 with its Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 8 at 5 p.m., and  “Open House” event scheduled for Friday, Nov. 9.
“We are very excited about bringing the Henson name and reputation to Landrum in order to serve the entire Carolina Foothills Region,” said Mark Bayer, president of Warner Robins Supply, a second-generation, family-owned company that has been in the building supply industry for more than 65 years. This will make their eighth location in Georgia, North Carolina and now South Carolina.
Clint McGinnis, who is the location manager for the Landrum store, has been with Henson at their Forest City location for eight years coming from many years in the construction industry himself. In addition, Roy “Skip” Skipper who was formally with Tryon Lumber for more than 25 years will also be handling sales out of this location.
Store hours will be 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday, and 8 a.m. –  noon on Saturday. They can be contacted by phone at 864-457-4115.
