Tryon Congregational women’s fellowship luncheon Oct. 15

Sister Mary Hugh Mauldin from Charlotte, N.C. will talk about the “Biblical Mary” at a Tryon Congregational Church Women’s Fellowship luncheon on Monday, Oct. 15.
A respected biblical scholar, Sister Mary has taught several well-received classes in Hendersonville, N.C. She will comment on the challenge faced by American nuns whose role is being questioned by their bishops.
The luncheon, catered by Linda Campbell, begins at 11:30 a.m. and the speaker will start at 12:45 p.m. Luncheon reservations are needed by noon on Thursday, Oct. 11. Call the church office at 828-859-9414 for reservations or Christel Walter at 828-894-0197 or by e-mail at mcwalter@windstream.net.
