To the editor:
In response to a letter to the editor printed in the Sept. 12 Bulletin I agree that we should get educated and know the facts before casting our votes in November. However, there is a fact that the letter writer should be aware of which is incorrectly stated.
According to the Planned Parenthood Federation of America fact sheet, Planned Parenthood performed 329,445 abortion procedures in 2009. They have 749 clinics in the United States, of which 322 perform abortions.
According to the Guttmacher Institute Report, Planned Parenthood performs 27.5 percent of all abortions in the United States, and 5l percent of their yearly income is from performing abortions.
We do need to care for our brothers, including those in the womb.
