Carswell retires after 32 years in transportation department

Reception for Carswell/Reid Friday

A retirement party for Polk County Transportation Director Jewell Carswell and secretary and driver Tena Reid will be held Friday, Sept. 28 from 4- 6 p.m. at the Meeting Place in Columbus.

Carswell will retire on Friday after 32 years serving the department.

Reid has been with the department almost 17 years.

The party will be held at the Meeting Place Senior Center, located at 75 Carmel Lane, off Skyuka Road in Columbus.

The public is invited to attend.
