Every day I am reminded how fortunate we are to live in our little slice of heaven.
This past weekend, our son’s wedding was held at Landrum’s beautiful Song Hill Reserve on Lake Road. The owners, John and Larsen Dunn, are just the nicest and most accommodating people; the venue is incredibly beautiful and the price cannot be beat. A look at their website will give you a glimpse of this gem as well as all they offer–which is a lot!
The night before the wedding, we held the rehearsal dinner at Landrum’s own Hare and Hound, with the cake made next door at Cakes and Confections 4U, and the gorgeous floral decor was provided by Expressions Florist, just down the street. I cannot say enough: the food and waitstaff at the Hare and Hound were over the top as was the beautiful and delicious cake; the flowers and the fall decor were so beautiful and fresh.
Our guests, my family and I were overwhelmed at the quality and attention to detail we received. These four venues deserve a standing ovation for their work – all locally owned and operated businesses. Who needs to look further?
