Fall in the foothills brings number of community events

With the coming of fall our calendar quickly fills up and this year is no exception.

Today, Friday, Sept. 7, the Pacolet Area Conservancy (PAC) will present its first annual “For Land’s Sake!” dinner auction at Sunnydale at 7 p.m. in Tryon.  Artworks by prominent area artists, depicting their interpretations on a bird inspired theme will be up for auction. Jim Peterman and Mack McCloud will provide the entertainment music.
PAC invites the public to come and participate and help support the work to protect and conserve open spaces here in Polk County. For tickets or more information call 828-859-5060 or visit their website at www.pacolet.org.
