The Polk County Sheriff’s Office has another Polk County man in custody facing charges of growing marijuana plants.
The sheriff’s office arrested Greg Nelson Henderson, 51, of 563 Phillip Henderson Road and charged him with felony manufacturing marijuana.
Officers said last Thursday, Aug. 16, a N.C. Highway Patrol helicopter spotted 32 marijuana plants around Henderson’s home.
The U.C. Customs/Homeland Security Investigations (HIS) and the N.C. State Bureau of Investigations also assisted in the case.
Polk County officers said the plants were mature, and Henderson had plants in different areas around the house and in the woods.
Henderson was released from jail on a written promise to appear in court.
