Sweet Rocco, I haven’t forgotten you

I smile and reply, “I know, he’ll find a home soon.” Rocco has been with us since early spring and has constantly been passed over and you may ask yourselves, why? Rocco is just full of himself and best case scenario, he should be the only dog or have a responsible owner who will teach him his parameters beyond what the shelter has done. His toy (whichever one we give him) is his constant companion and he takes it with him wherever he goes. Needless to say, I like everyone else who meets him, simply love this boy.
As I stop by his cage, Rocco trots over and puts down his toy, “Hi Uncle Lennie, I thought you forgot me.” I tear up, honored that he put down his toy to greet me.
“No Rocco, I don’t forget any of you. Would you like to take a walk?”
“Oh yes,” he answers, wiggling with joy as he reaches again for his toy.
“Leave it little buddy, I’ll give you all the love you need,” as Rocco attempts to wash my face while I slip the leash around his neck.
If you can, come by and give this magnificent boy a chance, you’d make so many people happy, most of all yourselves and dear sweet Rocco.
By the way, Jane has been adopted in Georgia, thanks again to all who participated and donated.
Thanks for listening.
