Phoebe Mackay, 82, of Tryon passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2012 in the Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills, Landrum.
Born in New York, she was the daughter of the late Charles C. and Ophie Mackay. She grew up in New York, graduated from Parsons School of Design and retired as a graphic designer of packaging for Cryovac Corp., Duncan, S.C.
There are no immediate survivors.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2012 in Tryon City Cemetery, Tryon, with Dr. James C. McPherson officiating.
Memorials may be made to Foothills Humane Society, 989 Little Mtn. Rd., Columbus, N.C. 28722.
