Singing for the Soldiers success

To the editor:
All of the organizers wish to acknowledge all involved in the Memorial Day Singing for the Soldiers. More than $2,000 profit was made on the event to purchase items and pay for shipping, along with 57 big boxes full of goodies and necessities for our troops.
The following letter was sent back from the field:

James and Deb,
I want to personally thank you from all the Marines of the VMU-2 maintenance department. Thank you for taking the time to organize the “Singing for Soldiers” event and for sending the care packages. We all enjoy getting anything from home, especially the packages packed with goodies. We have your letter posted as a reminder of the support we have back in the good ole USA.
We are all eager to complete this mission and get back to our families. Again, thank you for the care packages and support!
Sincerely,
GySgt Roberthon, Ryan P.
Maintenance Control Chief
VMU-2 FWD

Organizers appreciate all who attended, the sponsors who purchased food, items and prayed for the successful event.
