Event raises funds for new Polk Central playground
The Kiwanis Golf Tournament will be held Friday, May 11 at Meadowbrook Golf Course in Rutherford County near Green Creek.
A picnic lunch will be held at 11:30 a.m., followed by a shotgun start for the tournament at 12:30 p.m.
The format will be male and female amateurs, 18-hole captain’s choice. First and second place prizes for each flight and a prize for closest to the hole will be awarded. Raffle prizes will also be given.
Proceeds from the tournament will be used to build a new playground at Polk Central Elementary School.
