Tryon Fine Arts Center opened the Christmas season with the Do-It-Yourself “Messiah” on Thursday, Dec. 1. Conducted by Mark Schweizer, soloists and audience members performed together the “Hallelujah Chorus” from Handel’s classic work. Karen Molnar, bassoonist, and Beth Child, pianist, accompanied the singers. The evening was free to the public and made possible by the Kirby Endowment Fund at Polk County Community Foundation.
