Wanda Gilbert Robbins, 52, of Columbus passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2011. She was the widow of Tim Robbins.
Ms. Robbins was a native of Polk County and a daughter of the late Boyd and Fannie Adams Gilbert. She was a member of Green Creek First Baptist Church.
Ms. Robbins earned her associate’s degree from Spartanburg Methodist College. She also studied business at the University of South Carolina Spartanburg. In her young adult years, Ms. Robbins worked in the office and sales lot of her family’s business, Gilbert’s Nursery. She pursued her interest in antiques by opening and running her own antique business. Ms. Robbins was also a caregiver to her mother and aunt in their later years.
Ms. Robbins was a loving and devoted mother and a compassionate friend to anyone who knew her. Her greatest pride was her children. Ms. Robbins was dearly cherished and loved by her family. She will be missed more than words can express.
She is survived by a son, Dylan Robbins of Wilmington, N.C.; a daughter, Jillian Parris of Charleston, S.C.; a brother, James Gilbert of Tryon; a sister, Faye Lindsay of Fort Mill, S.C., and a niece, Allison Lindsay, also of Fort Mill.
Visitation will be held from 2 – 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Green Creek First Baptist Church.  Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. in the church, officiated by Rev. Allen McKinney.
The family will be at their respective homes.
